The Role 

You will be part of an international team, driving the development of 1GLOBAL's eSIM platform, including our consumer and IoT solutions. We are looking for a talented frontend developer and team player, with experience in React and Next.js to join our team. As a Frontend Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our web applications, ensuring an excellent user experience and high performance. You will work closely with the design and backend teams to implement features and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability. 

The successfully hired candidate will receive onboarding and training in Lisbon, Portugal; gaining valuable skills while experiencing one of Europe’s most dynamic and renowned cities.

Key Responsibilities 

• Develop features for users using React and Next.js; 

• Collaborate with the design team to create intuitive and responsive web interfaces; 

• Optimize applications for performance and scalability; 

• Work closely with the backend team to integrate RESTful APIs; 

• Write efficient, clean and reusable code; 

• Participate in code reviews to maintain quality and ensure best practices; 

• Keep up to date with industry trends and technologies. 

Requirements

• Solid experience in frontend development with React and Next.js; 

• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and TypeScript; 

• Experience with CSS frameworks such as Tailwind; 

• Knowledge of testing frameworks such as Jest or React Testing Library; 

• Experience with responsive design; 

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, both in use and in construction; 

• Knowledge of modern frontend build tools and workflows; 

• Ability to effectively troubleshoot and resolve bugs; 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; 

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines will be considered a plus; 

• Excellent communication skills (fluent in English, both written and spoken), with a self-motivated and autonomous mindset.
