Jazeera Airways and 1GLOBAL launch Jazeera eSIM service

Jazeera Airways operates commercial and cargo flights out of Terminal 5 at Kuwait International Airport, flying to over 64 popular destinations across the Middle East, Central and South Asia, Africa and Europe. It serves high-demand business, leisure, religious and weekend destinations across the MENA region.


Jazeera was aware that its customer experience was positive yet underutilized, with multiple parts of the customer journey (both literally and figuratively) lacking engagement. To enhance their value proposition and extend the range and scope of customer engagement beyond their aircraft and premises, Jazeera partnered with 1GLOBAL to create their own branded data roaming service.


By leveraging proprietary technology, 1GLOBAL integrated its eSIMs into Jazeera Airlines' existing platform and portfolio of services. The process began with the implementation of a simple-to-use Jazeera branded QR code and web-based solution, soon followed by a full-fledged integration into the Jazeera Airways app. This white label solution allowed Jazeera to offer eSIM services while maintaining the airline’s own look and feel.


Full app integration easily provided global connectivity services to all Jazeera’s international passengers, marketed through various communication channels including social media, in-flight magazines, email confirmations and promotional material in airport terminals. The 1GLOBAL Connect API was added to the existing app with zero interruption, for instant eSIM connectivity, while Jazeera simultaneously offered eSIMs via QR codes in high-traffic areas of Terminal 5 that would get passengers online almost immediately upon landing.
