Dutch mobile giant KPN leverages 1GLOBAL expertise to power one-click eSIM subscription transfers for iPhone

KPN, the largest provider of mobile and internet services in the Netherlands, has launched its new one-click eSIM transfer and phone upgrade capability, powered by 1GLOBAL technology.

The Rotterdam-headquartered telco operates a robust and highly reliable network throughout the Netherlands, priding itself on delivering unlimited access and barrier-free telecommunications and internet services.

With this latest one-click eSIM subscription transfer solution for its iPhone customers, KPN further builds upon its reputation for keeping customers connected, seamlessly.

Churn-free solutions for customers

As the share of eSIM-only devices continues to grow, the challenge for telco providers becomes one of how to retain customer loyalty.

As an alternative to the physical SIM card, eSIMs bring none of the installation fuss or fiddle, and a great deal more simplicity. Combined with Apple’s eSIM Quick Transfer, the one-click process when upgrading from an old iPhone to a new iPhone has been made almost entirely effortless for the user.

This seamless transfer solution is made possible by a backend system called Entitlement Server which, for mobile network operators (MNOs) like KPN, helps embed into their customer offering a strategic service – customers using iPhones with eSIM can now upgrade to a new iPhone and retain all data, keep their number, and transfer their entire subscription plan in just one click.

The 1GLOBAL impact
